Unfortunately we need to cancel this year's Howl-O-Ween. We've waited as long as seemed prudent but unfortunately at this point, cancelation seems like the only smart choice.

Instead we are running online competitions (scariest costume!) with great prizes and continue to raise awareness for the Guide Dogs.

We look forward to seeing all of you at Port's Christmas Artisan Market on December 4th instead, since the timing looks good and it was tremendously successful last year.

We are proud to announce that his year our Charity Partner for HOWL-O-WEEN will once again be the Guide Dogs Victoria. 100% of your registration fee from the Doggie trick-or-treat parade will be donated directly to the Guide Dogs to help aid their valuable work.

A Guide Dog is a working dog that has been highly trained to guide someone who is blind or vision impaired safely from one destination to another. Guide Dogs play a critical role in enabling people with impaired vision to get around safely and independently, so they can live the life they choose.

Did you know that vision loss is on the rise in Australia. As a result, the demand for Guide Dogs is too. We live in an aging population where longevity creates vision impairment; where disease creates vision loss; and where accidents cause vision trauma. People can experience vision loss at any stage of life.

Guide Dogs Victoria needs to breed and train more Guide Dogs every year. Each Guide Dog costs in excess of $50,000. Guide Dogs Victoria always provide their services whether or not a person has a funding package through NDIS or otherwise. So they rely heavily on the kindness of donations to give freedom, independence and mobility to a person living with blindness or low vision.

This event supports Guide Dogs Victoria, help enable people with low vision and blindness.
